When Kat Bloomfield first entered the workforce, she realized that it wasn’t structured for people of color, especially women, to succeed. She understood if she wanted to be taken seriously in the nonprofit sector, she had to work with primarily white-led organizations in order to develop career capital.

Kat receives her Master’s Degree in Nonprofit Management from Northeastern University and founded Arts Business Collaborative
ABC partners with its first client with the Ron Brown Scholar Program
Secures $50K for the BeatRockers program including the $40K Camelback Fellowship and ABC’S first foundation grant

2017
Awarded a headline-making $2M for the Ron Brown Scholar Program
Secures $150K New York State Assembly Capital Grant for Bloomingdale School of Music

2018
ABC officially incorporates and establishes a board of directors

2019
Official launch party for ABC
ABC begins offering fiscal sponsorship to organizations, collectives, and artists of color

2020
ABC raises over $12M for 34 nonprofits & social enterprises
Conducts over 400 hours of COVID-19-related grant writing support, workshop, prep, & resource gathering for over 100 individual artists, small owners, and nonprofit groups
