NICOLE: What does your activism look like?
KELLEY: My activism shows up in the work I do and what I choose to spend my time and mental space on. I dedicated my life to helping people break through boundaries and make their dreams come true, what ever they may be.
NICOLE: What is your relationship with art and artistic practice? What kind of art do you produce?
KELLEY: I am a dancer. I've been dancing since I was a kid. It's how I release a lot of my stress, and a big part of what makes me me!
" I do not know where life will take me, but when I look back I want to be proud and know I helped make a difference!"
NICOLE: What are you working on right now that really excites you?
KELLEY: Honestly this job! Coming out of companies and organizations that did not share my values, I am very excited to be working with people who share those with me. Also, to be doing work by and for Black and Brown people...what more can I ask!
NICOLE: How have you helped POC in the last year?
KELLEY: By continuing to use my voice, self, and time to do things to better the situations of those around me.
NICOLE: What's your favorite quote?
KELLEY: "My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style." -Maya Angelou
