Black Trans Femmes in the Arts (BTFA) is an art collective for Black trans women and non-binary femmes.
The BTFA Collective aims to create an empowering community among Black trans and non-binary femmes and to address the systemic barriers that support their erasure. Founded in 2019 by Jordyn Jay, BTFA has created an uplifting, joyous space for Black trans women and non-binary femme artists to showcase their talent, advance their artistic careers, and explore the possibilities of their own creativity.
The Collective has organized Open Mic Night performances and art galleries, workshops and skill-building workshops centered around providing their community with the resources needed to succeed.
