Alex (He/him/his) is based in Crown Heights Brooklyn. Alex specializes in strategically and proactively identifying growth opportunities for hedge fund startups while managing resource allocation and overall service to clients. He analyzes data related to startup growth and duration, industry flows, and hedge fund performance in order to identify key drivers of revenue growth and efficacy of capital raising conferences.  Alex has established and managed deep relationships with multi-billion-dollar institutional investors in order to ultimately identify hedge fund strategies and managers of interest. He helps to drive communication and collaboration between external clients and firm-wide touch points to deliver the Morgan Stanley brand and cross-sell the firm’s solutions. He collaborates with internal marketing teams to organize and execute industry-leading capital raising conferences to ultimately drive robust event attendance and engagement across the client base.

Alvin is a CPA candidate, currently pursuing a Masters in CyberAccounting. His career spans over twenty years in the accounting industry performing and managing task such as: accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, contracts administration, internal auditing, budgeting, forecasting, job costing. 

He has worked in and with multi-national corporations, non-profits, small and emerging businesses to help push efficiency, accountability, knowledge sharing and transparency. His passion is to be a catalyst for change and helping people from all walks of life feel comfortable about their current financial status and their financial future. 

The idea behind the term "fourth world" is as diverse as our clients we serve. Though, not a popularly used term, it has been utilized to describe marginalized communities and those who have been financially deprived through no fault of their own. We believe that it also describes groups of people living within first world nations and are desperately trying to succeed despite the harrowing odds against them, in some cases likened to conditions of third world nations, hence the moniker Fourth World. This group includes small business owner’s struggling to find financial footing and individuals in need of the tools necessary to secure an equitable financial future. 

While we are primarily an accounting and finance company, what lies beneath all our services is the desire to educate. We pride ourselves in teaching financial literacy to small business and educating individuals in personal financial accountability. Our efforts in these arenas lead us to create solutions that will encourage success in an ever-changing global economy. Let’s face it, more commonly our people are marginalized or living on the edge of or outside the mainstream economy. It is therefore imperative that we become creative in developing financially sound and savvy solutions to tackle the issues of the past, present and future.

Kristal Choy (she/her) is a Chief Financial Officer with 17 years of experience providing full spectrum financial and organizational management services with passion and special expertise working with nonprofits, cause-related missions, and POC-led small business. Her experience includes fiscal oversight, budgeting and planning, investment management, reporting and analysis, and development. Kristal brings levity and clarity to organizational planning by helping clients deeply understand their financial stories with the goals of both foundation setting and strategic growth.

Morgan's (She/her/hers) biggest superpower is thinking through how you want to structure your business. What do you need to get started?  Helping to understand what your market actually is, through asking questions and taking individuals on that thought process. Are you product based? What is the actual offering and to whom? Executive coaching for leaders around how to ideate when stuck. How to organize and scaffold plans and can move forward to the next level. Ronteau (She/her/hers) has the ability to partner with senior leadership to drive a positive employee relations strategy and build culture in a remote-first, geographically distributed work environment. She develops programs that deepen engagement, culture, and employee retention. Additionally Ronteau works to improve employee life cycle programs that deeply impact the employee experience, including onboarding, offboarding, performance management, learning and development, and employee engagement to ensure mission and values alignment.

Shamair (She/her/hers) is a Brooklyn based Business Innovation & Strategy Consultant. She has over 10 years of strategy, management and process engineering experience within the small business, insurance, not-for-profit and government sectors both domestically and globally.

Shamair has experience managing small to large scale technology, as well as product development implementations from initiation to close. She is also well versed in developing sound change management plans conducive to the organization’s cultural needs. She has worked one-on-one with small business owners to develop and execute on their business strategy, operational excellence, and communications initiatives. 

Her well-rounded experience has afforded her the opportunity to master the art of effectively working with and leading remote, cross-cultural teams. Her superpowers are being a good listener, problem solver, and helping individuals connect the dots.
